with a fleet of about 27 aircraft, El-Al Israeli Airlines is the national carrier of Israel, therefore the airline with most flights to and from Israel. For those of you who want to come to Israel for any purpose, El-Al will usually provide the most convenient flight schedule which usually makes it the obvious choice.
Being a stewardess ex-El-Al airline believe that there can provide some insights for those of you who have already made a choice and are planning their flight to Israel with El-Al Israeli airlines.
The first thing to note is that El-Al Israeli airline, meaning that the crew is all-Israeli as well as most of the passengers (generally speaking, of course). This means that a passenger is flying with the Israeli El-Al needs to take into account many factors about the Israeli nature and especially that the Israelis are very straight forward: when you ask how much of your salary, they are rude - they're just being faithful its national nature. With this in mind, try and "buffer" any comments you can get - that's what Israelis already do by nature.
before boarding the flight will have to go through some security checks. Before 11 September no one else performs such checks of passengers and always will be surprised at how long it lasted, but now, sadly, most Americans already understand the need and procedure. Be patient and kind, and you should be fine. If you are invited to the second round of checks, we know that the plane will be waiting for you when you're done. That is, unless you really have something planned for the flight - in this case, make sure you catch you :-).

Almost everything you can imagine can be found on board: playing cards, any kind of alcohol, more pillows, baby kit with diapers and baby batter, and even fresh fruit of all kinds - you just have to ask for it politely, while giving attendant some respect.
Approximately 5-10 minutes after take-off within and belts signs off, the crew will begin running drinks, then dinner. the whole process takes an hour and a half in which is very inconvenient to make a trip to the toilet, so it is recommended that unless you want to wait an hour and a half, the best time to use the toilets would be immediately after takeoff.
All meals on El-Al are kosher, special meals (ie vegetarian, special kosher, kids meals) are served directly in front of other passengers to receive their meals, the trays are picked up from all passengers at the same time. This creates a situation where people who have ordered special meals must remain seated for much longer. I'd really recommend giving up on that special meal if you can. Regular meals with lots of vegetables in them, and the kids always enjoy a full meal much more than kids' meal.
If you are a smoker and you need to buy cigarettes, the aircraft will be chapest place on your journey. pack of cigarettes costs $ 2.3 on the plane, and you can double that for a price within Israel.
According to El-Al legislation, Laptop charging is available only in business and first classes. However, there is a 220 volt outlet, and the jump seat next to every emergency exit, so if you're nice enough and know your way to the hearts of students, they will need to use.
wireless internet access is also available on some of the aircraft (3 aircraft at the moment, and a new one every month) for a fee ranging between $ 10-30 for the entire flight.
With all the above in mind, I still find the El-Al to be one of the best airlines around.
