Based training in consciousness is intended to convey three key mental skills for students, all of which are bought by so-called "formal practice." In general, this practice is carried out in a very quiet and straight drives sit in a relaxed position with the spine, eyes closed. The workouts last from 10-45 minutes. Serious students are also involved in "retreat" that last from several days to several weeks.

These recalls often result in "noble silence", ie students do not communicate verbally with each other along the length of retirement. Usually engaged in intensive training for up to ten hours or more per day. In this article I will make a short overview of the power of concentration, the first and most fundamental of these three basic skills of mindfulness.

Can be defined simply as the ability to respond selectively and provided as deemed appropriate at some point. The acquisition of this skill is actually a prerequisite for a high performance level in most areas of life that demands the presence of the whole. Examples are music, dance, sports, and many other professions.

Stand-by Power Focus Mindfulness development is very similar to polishing a lens of the microscope, which is then used to observe carefully and consistently, all the every-changing their sensory experiences, both from the outside world and inner world of mind. Centralization of power is a prerequisite for the development of another skill, clarity of meaning. The same goes for your peace of mind in the developing world.

I will focus on the two new skills individually in separate articles. You can also obtain detailed information about them on my blog. (See below). Concentration of power, alone, has several unique advantages. Jointly contribute to peak performance in many highly demanding professions and occupations, can be applied effectively to cope with the pain and also to increase the level of performance or satisfaction when engaging in activities intrinsically enjoyable.

In his impressive work in the field of "positive psychology, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has shown that the high level of concentration is the essence of what he calls" flow ". He found that, with contributing to the high level of performance is the flow equally rewarding or satisfying in itself and offers a powerful way to avoid boredom, even when performing simple tasks and repetitive that most people consider be very monotonous. Old Wisdom of Mindfulness

Mindfulness has become one of the new personal developments. Many celebrities talk about how the focus has changed their lives. And if it has changed the life of someone we admire, we tend to see things positive. These days you hear someone say they are on their way to class attention. It seems that, as with yoga, qi gong, or meditation, we need an hour set for the week to exercise the mental part of ourselves.

Very few of us have the time and trouble to exercise silence instead of the activity. Not too many people realize the benefits of taking the time to do something, to become more energetic, modern and efficient. If I do something for a while now, I'll do better later. Mindfulness helps us to do. So what mindfulness is all about? Especially, attention is not something new.

Buddhists have practiced vigilance over 2500 years. In Buddhism, there are eight different paths to follow. One of them is the consciousness of right, namely, attention. In many ways, consciousness is one of the greatest mysteries or puzzles of biology. There are eleven million signals per second, but we are aware of only forty. Our consciousness is like a spotlight.

You have control over it. Here is the entrance to focus attention, we can choose what we want to create in the world. Using the focus is how to light a dark room. Here's a simple example of using care:

Close your eyes.

Listen to the sounds around you.

Just listen.

Now you can become aware of the sounds around you. They were there all the time, but you do not know. As you know the time is converted to the idea and then it's over. Time can never be closed, it can only observe and lived here and now. It shows us the direction of attention "now".
