Panic attacks and panic disorder affects more people in the U.S. and Western Europe. Those who do not suffer from panic attacks, it is difficult to see how unbearably painful anxiety and panic for those who continue to experience panic attacks. Victims of panic attacks, the experience is very visceral, it's a struggle on a large scale or flight reaction, which can cause a significant increase in heart rate and produce profuse sweating, and many other physiological and biochemical changes.
Imagine walking along a path and suddenly in front of the mountain lion, that this is how it feels for those suffering from anxiety, panic - and sometimes much worse. panic is not really a "mind" as some might think, but the reaction will be uniform, which includes both body and mind, which supports a reactive process.
However, ultimately, is what happens in the mind triggers emotional and physiological processes that cause a panic attack itself. Many people who suffer from anxiety panic is looking for ways to change the mental processes underlying anxiety-producing. Many are turning to a form of talk therapy or counseling, while others prefer a more direct, such as CBT or therapy because these attempt to care for changing the internal mechanism that generates the emotional response that triggers physical reactions.
The kernel panic disorder you will always find a kind of thought that the reactive trigger panic attacks, and of course the theory behind CBT is that if you can change those habits of negative thinking and negative beliefs so you can take above the panic attack. In the therapy approach of mindfulness, we take a step forward because we realize that the problem is not only the content of thoughts or beliefs or memories, but with the emotional energy that is injected these specific forms of thought. It is this emotional costs which gives this power to negative thoughts, beliefs or traumatic memories. So two people can think the same thought, but they react very differently - because the emotional charge is different for different people.
Mindfulness Therapy, therefore, the focus is to find a way to change this emotional energy, so that it can handle and resolve. Then everything is left "empty concept", which is no longer a special meaning or power to cause anxiety or distress. Mindfulness in therapy clients / students learn to "sit" and their feelings.
This means that they learn to keep their feelings to conscious awareness without getting lost in the story, or respond to anger, resistance or avoidance. This fundamental change in the relationship will not be consumed with a passion can observe the feelings of the object that keeps our awareness is the key. We call this primary relationship with Mindfulness therapy, and gives you the best possible conditions for the emotional charge that can begin to manage themselves.
Thus, negative thoughts and beliefs begin to lose intensity and lose their power over you. Find a quiet time during the day and practice sitting with your panic disorder. It is difficult to do during a panic attack, but quite possible when you're not. What you do is learn to meditate on the feelings themselves, making it focus attention consciousness.
In this deliberately, you will begin to develop a relationship with the sensation itself, which is not based on responsiveness, which only reinforces the problem, but attention, which creates an ideal environment for internal change . He is repeatedly returned to the feelings and develop this relationship non-reactive as you start to break free of habitual patterns of reactivity becomes stronger and more balanced. But more than that, this mindfulness meditation on the emotions creates an interior space where the emotions will start to change and transform.

Pierced of Heart
Our 18 year old daughter fell in love here in Mexico. We all learned a lot from the experience, but Tara is constantly changing because of his relationship with Gustavo. At first we had our doubts. Tara first saw Gustavo when she went to Black House, a local store sells band t-shirts and body jewelry. She went to get my nose pierced, and despite the fact that she bled a little more than she expected, she was totally captivated by borer.
Now, most parents of girls 18-year-old did not take it too seriously when they hear that someone is "so cute" and "So Nice". We are totally rejected his initial interest. But Tara has started going to Black House virtually every day to "check out t-shirts" and it turned out she had a crush on piercing.
Within weeks, no-nonsense German friend Tara, Lisa, but faint bored and decided to take matters into their own hands. A trip to the Black House, Gustavo asked what he was doing that night, and then pulls Tara Jungle Juice, and proceeded to knock heads together. It was the beginning of a truly beautiful and unique one of Tara would never have even talked two years ago. It turns out that Gustavo is 22 years of high school drop very poor family.
But it is not at all what one might think based on this description. This is a guy who reads the works of Shakespeare, Kant and Nietzsche, and even if he is not at all religious, read the Bible three times, in order, as he says, "knows what it is." He writes poems. Holds notebooks full of drawings and ideas. Remember the lyrics - in English - even if you do not speak the language at all.
He looks up every word he does not know whether he will be able to understand what the songs are meant to convey. Tara previous crushes tend to be very white bread suburban American children playing soccer, going to church with their parents, and planned to study sports medicine in college. Tara has always been a straight boy and narrow with little tolerance for those who might be considered strange or lazy.
At age 16, spent a year in Brazil, which gave a much greater appreciation of cultural differences and a zest for nightlife and international friendship. However, came to Mazatlan she had to spend what would have been his last year (won in the beginning) to improve their Spanish without the possibility of meeting someone worth your time or interest. She did not expect to connect deeply with anyone, and certainly has no idea that love would pierce her heart.
Gustavo (it was named "Pierce" for obvious reasons) is a great thinker who is romantic, gentle and friendly. It has a warm and loyal group of friends who also self-taught and passionate ideas. It is very close to her sister and brother, and work very hard for a living and support his family while his father is still unemployed. Because Pierce, Tara was introduced to a world she never knew existed. It became part of a group of friends who love and support each other and live their ideals.
They have intimate encounters all night on the beach talking, laughing, drinking beer and watching the moon reflected on the ocean. Back in Oregon, Tara would have all-night intimate encounters girls in pajamas watching movies and chick laugh over pizza and ice cream. She believes that all black t-shirt crowd too anxious, and was so focused on her training, she would never consider dating someone who had left school in ninth grade.
A month from now, our family will move to Argentina and Tara will be on its way to Europe, where he reconnected with the Belgian and Austrian friends who met in Brazil and will spend a semester University of Marburg in Germany. From there you head to college in Canada, where it may come as a junior. Tara was born in Japan, traveled to India and Nepal, lived in Brazil and Mexico and is likely to explore a dozen countries. Pierce has never left Mexico - and probably never. Tara speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish and is learning German. Pierce only speaks Spanish. Tara is with her friends in the world every day via email and instant messaging. Pierce has no computer - or computer.
Tara has learned about the privilege and gender. He saw that he was born lucky, basically winning the lottery in the world because of his U.S. passport and U.S. middle-class family. She knows that school is not the only way to learn, that money does not make you smarter or nicer, and that income has nothing to do with the quality of their relationships and depth of his soul.
I looked into the heart of Tara exponential growth in recent months. I watched him grow from a teenager to a cynical bid, thoughtful adults. As a mother, I am deeply grateful to Gustavo had in our lives this year. It stretched our minds, our broad perspective, and pierced themselves with our hearts. Is sure to have excessive bleeding we said goodbye.

Start Meditating!
This month's edition of the journal Psychological emotion offers a new series of studies on the effects of mindfulness meditation on both the capacity of working memory (the amount of information that we can manipulate in our minds at a time), and our ability to control our emotions - being "emotional intelligence." The basic idea is that working memory is used not only to manage our cognitive resources to assist in fluid intelligence, but also to control our emotions better. This link between working memory and emotion is the latest news. Before summarizing the results, here are some basic information about mindfulness meditation - what it is and what we know about it You'll be surprised by its size
What is mindfulness ..?
Mindfulness means being aware of a sense of purpose in the present, without trial. Mindfulness, a state of alert in which the mind is not caught in the thoughts, feelings, desires or feelings, but can come and go, a bit like watching a river flow by. Attention is observation without trial: It is this ability of the mind to observe without criticism. Once when one sees things without condemnation or conviction. We do not decide and do not judge.
The simple observation. Mindfulness is not selfish vigilance. There is no reference to itself. Carefully, we see all phenomena, without references to concepts like "me" "my" or "mine". and decide not to judge. The simple observation. Mindfulness is cultivated through meditation. This is a practice.
Benefits of Mindfulness
Mindfulness meditation practice can be transformative. It has been shown scientifically to have diverse and far-reaching impacts, and has the potential to transform the way we respond to life events.
* It reduces stress and negative emotional reactivity.
* It reduces psychopathology.
* It heightens attention and awareness.
* It promotes self-actualization.
* It enables seeing opportunities for open, spontaneous action in the world, free from egoism
mindfulness meditation
mindfulness in the company becomes widely recognized as an effective tool for mental and physical health. For example, in the United States, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is funding more than 50 studies of technical tests of attention - from 3 in 2000 - to help relieve stress, calm the anxiety of addiction to improve care, lift despair.
Care and the military: How to cope with stress in a study published in the journal Emotion by Amish Jha and his colleagues persuaded 48 Marines who went to Iraq to participate in scientific study. For eight weeks before a deployment, a group of 31 marines regularly practiced meditation for two attention, while another group of 17 men had no training attention.
Jha asks if the care would improve the ability of soldiers to control emotions by improving the capacity of working memory. The reasoning behind this is the idea that memory capacity can not simply help to manage the information in reasoning and problem solving - but it can help manage emotions and keep your brain works well under pressure. This is a kind of emotional intelligence.
Stress is not - as expected - to reduce the capacity of working memory of the Marine Corps' But those who have practiced more attention than actually seen a slight increase in the working capacity of memory than the soldiers, who had no education, "conscious" Marines also the mood more positive and fewer negative moods bring home ...
Build fluid intelligence and to protect the stress, meditation, mindfulness, and mindfulness training of working memory could benefit people who are in a situation similar to the military. - That require intense physical fitness, mental and emotional work, such as firefighters, police officers, other first responders and emergency workers, scientists say. But, more generally, mindfulness meditation can help to protect cognitive function and use our intelligence to the fluid conditions of stress be it.:
life is stressful - if you take tests, or against cognitive pressures at work! If meditation is combined with the formation of the brain that our company offers a combination of training have far-reaching. Personally, I've always been working memory training with mindfulness meditation. These results come as a vindication of the beautiful I've lived with a great value for more than a year. I have long understood that our intelligence is not only the processing of information - that is also intelligent with our emotions.

Children & Mindfulness
How often do you find yourself becoming more aware of what happened yesterday and what will happen tomorrow? Why are not focused on what's happening now? What prevents you from enjoying the moment and can be changed using the powerful techniques of care. This article explains the concept of care and how it can help in their daily lives with their children. Attention is to be aware at the time. One thing all parents can benefit at times. Not only for themselves but also for children. Why children wake up each morning with a desire for immediate pleasure to place and began the day? Because I do not think they will do today and do not care what happened yesterday was. Only have an appetite for life.
What is attention? Awareness is a tradition that has its roots in Buddhism and can be traced back several thousand years ago. In all its simplicity, it means that the time to know exactly when life happens. Life is not the case yesterday and tomorrow - takes place today. This way of thinking that it is extremely important and useful, when we spend time with our children. They are the first to feel and suffer, if our mind is not present when we spend time together.
The ability to be aware at the time when we have our kids doing time more fun for children and parents. Especially when the new parent company, this is difficult to always be present because we are constantly bombarded with things you could do better than the new parents. We are told to do things one way or the other way, and often have difficulty in doing things the way we are taught - but to listen to our feelings.
Application of knowledge in your life? We're all trying to be very stressful in the morning, when children are ready to go home, but everything goes wrong foot. You are in the midst of a balance that could easily end up with stress and frustration. You have to get ready, the kids ready, packed up and out of the house in time for school and work. One child spills milk and the other does not want to wear. The clock is ticking.
To stress and upset, children crying and shouting, and finally feel like giving up. So far, everything is stressed and grumpy - and late! It's your fault or the children? Who creates frustration? Have you tried to do too many things at once? Do not worry - it happens to us all. In such circumstances, attention can be very helpful. Here's what he said off all you want to do and end up making half of it, that causes frustration.
It is about creating discussion. If you concentrate on one thing at the moment instead of focusing on what is the next step, you'll be able to do things better and faster when you put your full energy into what you do. If you constantly think about what you do afterwards, so you will not be able to succeed in what you are doing now. Mindfulness in relation to children is to see the gestures and words, and focusing on the needs, intentions and their challenges in life.
We must also consider the current situation and understand what is the cause. Ask yourself the following question, what emotions are exposed and how do I cope? What I feel right now, and what is my child trying to express? I'm not paying attention or not my child feel misunderstood? I have an automatic reply because I think I'm used to a certain pattern of behavior? It feels like everything is on replay?
Awareness may be a great gift for the whole family. It's about being yourself, being aware of those now and listening to your intuition rather than remembering the advice from books, magazines and parents. Being a parent is one of the most demanding and stressful job, you can get, and if you have a second on top of it so well, then you have a difficult task. Mindfulness can teach you to keep your concentration and help you better manage difficult times in your life.
